NOTE: As of July 2005, the Grand Lodge Public Awareness Committee has been reorganized. As a replacement for one Committee consisting of three sub-committees, namely External Communications, Internal Communications and a Special Events Committee, there are now two distinct Grand Lodge Committees as follows:

• External Communications is now the Public Awareness Committee

• Internal Communications is now the Communications Committee

About Masonic Public Awareness

• The goal of this Committee is to make Masonry more visible by seeking out media opportunities.  The Committee actively supports Lodge & District efforts to obtain favourable press coverage of local events. This has been accomplished by providing professional media releases and contact assistance with the various media outlets as well as promotion of the Masonic Logo & support of Open Houses.

• To co-ordinate and promote the use of Masonic information booths and displays throughout Ontario. 
  

• The committee also keeps the Grand Lodge scrapbook up to date.  If you have any material that should be inserted in the scrapbook, please forward it to Grand Lodge, Attention: Public Awareness with the proper description of the event and names of those in any submitted newspaper articles.
